THE FOUNDATION.

At the heart of our business lies a deep commitment to creating meaningful change—beyond coffee. Our foundation was born from extensive research into urban poverty in Zambia, a field often overlooked in the broader conversation around African development. We chose to focus on the capability approach, a perspective that looks beyond financial aid to understand the real, often complex, limitations people face in achieving a dignified life.

We believe that money alone is not the solution to poverty. It's a tool, but true, lasting change comes from building capacity, opportunity, and community. With this in mind, we gathered around the table, asking the hard questions and seeking practical ways to make a difference.

Coffee, with its powerful global supply chain and community roots, became our answer.

Through our foundation, we are using coffee as a vehicle for social impact. Our current focus areas include:

• Establishing our Headquarters and Roastery in Lusaka, creating local jobs and infrastructure.

• Partnering with our first school and urban community to support education and community-led development.

• Building direct relationships with coffee farms across Zambia and Southern Africa, ensuring ethical sourcing and farmer empowerment.

This is just the beginning. With every cup, we’re working towards a more equitable and sustainable future.
